Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kings Mountain - Shelby Area by IHG

Our first time for staying here and it was a wonderful experience. The front desk girl checking us in last night was very friendly, the room was clean, the bed slept good and the pool was clean. Definitely recommend to anyone.

Water temperature in the showers needs to be fixed. Staff needs to be a little more polite to its guest as well leave parking spots in front for the guest. Employees don’t need to be parking in Diamond elite spots meant for guest.

Beth greeted us with great enthusiasm. Her spark was noticed immediately. She was both efficient and gracious. We will be back.

Very clean with friendly staff. The new coffee machines are wonderful.. so fresh and delicious. The only negative is that there isn't enough light in the bathroom. Hard to see to do makeup. Maybe put a mirror above the desk?

I stay at Holiday Inn Express hotels in this region every other week and have for the last two years. While the hotel itself is clean, comfortable and comparable to other Holday Inn Express locations, the standout here is Beth. Being a business owner myself for more than 25 years, I know that your employees will make or break your business and it’s near impossible to find standout people in today’s labor market.. Because I stay at this hotel several times per month, I have stayed in many of the rooms and have preferences about which ones are better suited for me than others. Beth was perceptive, helped me find a comfortable, quiet room on my first stay, and then without my asking placed that room preference into the system for me for future stays without making it difficult. I know each week that if that room is available I will be placed in it, and if not she will use one of the others nearby. I notice walking through the lobby that she remembers guest’s names and makes a point to speak to and relate to them. My five start rating in a three star hotel chain comes from one particular person here. I hope corporate has noticed it as well.

We had such a wonderful 2 night stay here! The hotel is easily accessible to the freeway, the check-in process was quick and easy, and the staff is great! Thank you so much to the front desk clerk, James! He is absolutely wonderful! I would definitely stay at this location again and recommend to anyone!

My job sent me to a hight profile project and got me a reservation in this location, as soon as I walked in, Ashley (pink hair girl) greeted me, what an outstanding front desk representative!!! She was very friendly and knowledgeable, took time to give me all the details of this amazing location and it's surroundings, did it on a clear timely manner, was awesome. Being here for a couple of weeks and extending, really hope InterContinental Hotels Group knows they have an asset in her!!! Stayed in many hotels all around the world and here in Kings Mountain Holiday Inn Express, experienced the best hospitality treatment. Treat her good IHG!!!
